The pants adventure: aka biggest disappointment of my life

So due to the heavy pouring rain and really cold nights I had to go out to buy a pair of pants. I only brought one pair of jeans, which are still drying (we have to hang them) after 24hrs. My jeans were wet, it was freezing, and I needed pants to wear under my italy fifa jersey for the game yesterday. So Natasha, Nick (he was realllllllly bored) and I went to Upim.

Upim is like the target of Europe, except it's not because Upim is european... which makes it a lot nicer already. It's also pronounced you-pim-e, apparently Italians like to name department stores names that they can not properly pronounce (like the grocery store conad...)

Anyways, after 15 pairs of pants I have come to the depressing reality that I will probably never fit these pants. If they fit in the leg they are too big in the waist and if they fit the waist they do not fit my legs. They are just made for european girls who are a foot taller and skinnier than barbie apparently. So that was a lovely experience.

The best part of Upim though is that they play music from middle school (we're talking Blink 182 here people). All of the music is in english, but no one there speaks english. Which leads to me making air drying noises in the middle of a store trying to ask if they have hair dryers.

I was able to get some conditioner so no more hermoine granger hair (hp movie 1 status). And I finally found my shaving cream so no more looking like I belong in France. Hopefully the rain stops soon and it starts getting hot so this isn't an issue anymore.

I've also noticed that I'm not in any of the pictures I've taken (for all you guys know I could be in Australia ... just kidding parents) so I'll try to convince my roommate to give me some of the ones shes taken.

Michelle (roommate) and I have class (first day of class!) in 40min but the school is literally three doors down so we're not really worried about time. 9 to 12:15 I have Italian 1 and then 13-15 we have art history together with Miguel and Nick and lots of others. Hopefully Natasha switches to art history so we can all go on field trips together (the politics class doesn't have on site field trips).

After we are done with class we're getting benadryl because we seem to be allergic to whatever our sheets were washed in (no we don't have bed bugs, italians just use really heavy soaps). Then we are going to walk around to continue my hunt for all of the contrada fountains =) Unless its too rainy.
And then I'm going back to my Berlitz tapes to try to learn the language even faster. My vocabulary at the moment is really strange and random but hopefully I start filling in the blanks quickly.

Ciao
