Nicchio has officially made me one of them as of this Saturday night, which meant that all of Sunday I was able to march around the city with them singing songs, drinking wine, eating the best food of my life (besides Mom's apple pies) and getting to see the inside of all the other contrada's churches which is only allowed to members of a contrada. =) pictures are worth a thousand words though so here you are!

During the festa di nicchio (went on for 8 days) this night it rained so we ran into the betting booth for shelter, those who jumped into the wine booth had a much better time but we still made the best of it! Also side note, Italian men ran screaming for shelter because they didn't want their hair to get ruined in the rain...
