The countdown

13 more days. Recently found out that I am not in a single room but a double room which could end up being better. I've also been looking up tons of images of the town and information on the cathedrals in the area. Looks like I'll be busy exploring Siena for awhile before even thinking about exploring other towns or countries. Almost have everything packed and my room is almost boxed up for moving. The Italian language learning tapes have been playing non stop but I'm not sure if it's sticking. Which is a little nerve wracking. As soon as I get to my dorm room and collapse on the bed I'll be fine, it's just getting there on time that I'm worried about. Ahhhh

June 13th is getting closer and closer... today I got skype: kaitlynanne.humphrey and yesterday I got the Lets Go: Europe travel book, I've been reading through it faster than any school book and have already gotten to use my new knowledge (Italy DOES have a daily siesta from 1 to 3pm similar to Spain *SCORE*)

Mini residence

This is a picture of a room similar to the one I will be staying in!!! It's a single mini residence, so it's like a dorm room because other students will be living in the same building in other rooms, but it is way nicer than a Davis dorm room I can tell you that!

Welcome!

I'm setting up this blog so I can keep family and friends updated on my trip through Europe this summer. I'm leaving June 13th (right after finals!) for Florence Italy then going straight to Siena where I will be studying until August 20th. For two weeks after I will be traveling around Europe and will return back to California on September 1st (Just in time to watch Cal play UCDavis...). Check in for updates pictures and videos!
