Philadelphia airport, my new bff

*one is the loneliest number that you'll ever knowwwww*

So my flight from San Fran to Philadelphia got delayed, which means I missed my flight from Philadelphia to Frankfurt. The next flight they can get me on is at 8:25pm tomorrow (It's 11:42pm now). After the food courts closed (I haven't eaten since 10am California time so 1pm philly time) and I realized the ac is minus a billion degrees in here (not shorts and a tank top weather) I wandered out to find somewhere that has internet access. Turns out Philadelphia is a huge airport, which is why sprinting from one terminal to the next was a big fail but cardio for the day. After wandering through the hallway of movie posters of movies filmed in philly, the baseball hallway, and the hallway of art made out of old fire hydrants painted pastel colors (I can NOT wait to see some european art) I finally found an area that had wifi and seems to be 2 degrees warmer than the rest of this place. Also after asking for blankets and pillows from three different US airway info desks (the airway that got me stuck here) I found out that they do have blankets and pillows. I later found out that by blanket they meant big sheet of tin foil but we'll see how that works in a bit.
My corner is in an area that I'm now sharing with what appears to be a cleaning lady's 2 year old child who is playing game boy while sucking a binky across from me and a foreign family who were kind enough to tell me who they convinced to give them blankets. Tomorrow after waking up I'm going to go back to luggage and see if I see my bag, if not I have to figure out a way to get it from US Air since now I'm flying with a different airway. Then check in with that airway and figure that out.

The rest of the day was just fine. I got to the airport with my family and was able to eat breakfast with them, then got really excited so I made them leave so I could get to my gate sooner (Sorry!). Waiting seemed to take forever but I finally got on and the man sitting next to me ended up being from Italy. His name was Francesco and he owns an italian restaurant in SF called Poesia at 4072 18th street. His daughter turns 7 on the 20th and lives in Italy so he's going back to see her and he also has a wedding coming up. We talked the whole five hours and we ran to the next plane together but we lost each other when I was trying to get a new flight, I think he got a hotel or something. The clouds were also gorgeous and we saw some rainbows on the way over, I just wish it had a happier ending. We ran so fast with all our stuff we were sweating as if we had been at the gym all day, and now I'm going to sleep here and I won't get to Florence until the 15th =/ hopefully I dont smell when I get there. Thank goodness I have my toothbrush and toothpaste and some face powder! I'm going to scare off all my future roommates...

Time to try to get some sleep now I guess, "Take off with take out...visit our popular restaurants like asian bistro..." isn't really a lullaby but it will have to do.

Every guide is so beautiful that it’s quite difficult to choose one. But the airport looks so vibrant and colourful.Do you want to return here in the near future?
